Build Up Tassie

Build Up Tassie is the exciting new project of Social Impact Program with Centacare Evolve Housing. We are supporting a crew of young people in Hobart's Northern suburbs to join the construction and building industry. We are providing one on one support and training, linking them to opportunities in employment, work experience and volunteering and empowering them to build their future. We are partnering with Wilson Homes to build 400 houses. Help us Build a House, Build a Life, Build a Future!

Social Impact Program

Build Up Tassie is the newest initiative of the Catholic Community Social Impact Program (SIP) in Hobart. The aspiration of SIP is to co-contribute to the growth of vibrant and hopeful communities which value the dignity and worth of each person. SIP works in partnership with diverse groups in Hobart's northern suburbs to STRENGTHEN AND CO-CREATE INDIVIDUAL AND COMMUNITY WELLBEING. Valerie Farnell our Project Officer and I can't wait to start our Orientation program this week at the Southern Central Trade Training Centre. Stay tuned to see how we go. Im looking forward to meeting some fantastic young people aspiring to work in construction.
